Why use a virtual London number?

27/09/2013 11:43

The key benefit of a virtual London phone number is that it makes you appear to be a London business without actually being based in London.

Appearing to be a London company can carry a huge amount of prestige with it, especially if you are aiming to do business internationally.

If a client or potential client sees that you have 020 at the beginning of your phone number, it suggests that you have done well to have offices in the capital city of the UK.

But having property in London is incredibly expensive. During the economic crisis and recession, when property prices in the rest of the country went down, property prices in London continued to rise, and still continue to rise now. Compared to the rest of the country, it is ridiculously expensive to have offices in London, and if you don’t actually need physical offices, then a virtual number is a better way.

A virtual number can be pointed at an existing landline or mobile phone. So you could be based just outside of London, but still have a London number, or use a mobile phone and still have a London number.

It also means that your employees don’t have to live in London, travel through London or commute to London, which can also be incredibly expensive.

All London numbers start with 020, and then either 3, 7 or 8. They are all London phone numbers. For more information about London numbers, please visit our website.
