Blandford Forum, commonly Blandford, is a market town on the River Stour in Dorset, England. Blandford is noted for its Georgian architecture. Blandford is the administrative headquarters of North Dorset District Council. Blandford Camp, a military base, is sited on the hills a mile to the east of the town. Blandford is situated between Cranborne Chase and the Dorset Downs, at the south eastern corner of the Blackmore Vale. Blandford is often given as an example of a Georgian town, as the entire centre was rebuilt at once in the 18th century, due to a fire, and is hence uniformly Georgian. North Dorset District Council employs a large number of residents. Other employers in Blandford are the Badger Brewery, which supplies beer to public houses across the region, Tesco, Morrisons and Bryanston School. Blandford Camp is 1.2 miles north east of the town and has long been home to the Royal Corps of Signals, the communications wing of the British Army.
